Blogging from my phone while I sit in a dentists’s chair. Whaaaat? I love technology. I’m having my teeth bleached (thanks, Groupon!) so I look like this right now.
Eww. Moving on to happier things.
In the rush to get from running errands to the dentist, I realized I needed a snack because I can’t eat for an hour after the bleaching. No time to go home. No time to stop and eat. What’s a girl to do?
Stop at Arden’s Garden for a smoothie of course.
I’ve read about green smoothies on other blogs for a while now, where healthy-living enthusiasts put spinach in their smoothies and swear you can’t taste it.
I called bull on that a long time ago and vowed never to destroy a delicious smoothie in such a way.
But then today happened. A smoothie was all I had time for, but I knew a bunch of blended fruit (hence, fructose, bad for hypoglycemia) wouldn’t sustain my body as long I needed it to. So I bit the bullet, asked for spinach with my strawberry, mango, and pineapple smoothie, and decided to drink it no matter how it tasted just to get the food I needed in my body.
It looks disgusting, I know. But I swear to you from the bottom of my soul: I couldn’t taste the spinach!
This nasty green filth really just tasted like strawberries, pineapple, and mangoes. You have to try it to believe it, I know. But seriously, try it! What an incredible way to get a serving or two of veggies and love it!
I destroyed this thing!
In fact, I want another right now. Top bad I’m stuck in the dentist’s chair looking like a freak!
